Frequently asked questions about BlitzVolley

Last updated: 18 August 2026

Short answers to the questions that come up most. For the full ruleset see the complete rules; for the ranking, the ranked page.

Is BlitzVolley free?

Yes. The game runs in the browser, with no installation and no payment. You can play against the bots and online against other players without spending anything. Only cosmetics can be purchased, and they grant no in-match advantage.

Do I need to install or download anything?

No. BlitzVolley runs entirely inside a web page. There is no client to download, no plugin, and no platform account to create.

Can I play without creating an account?

Yes, guest entry is complete: bots, friendly matches, Observer mode. The free account becomes necessary for anything that must be kept — ELO rating, level, quests, cosmetics, public profile, match history.

Does the game work on a phone?

Yes, with a touch joystick, provided you hold the device in landscape. The court is twice as wide as it is tall: in portrait there is no room to see the ball coming, and the game asks you to rotate.

Can I play with a specific friend?

Yes. A private room generates a short, shareable code; your friend joins by entering that code, bypassing the queue. Private rooms can also change the match format and some gameplay options.

Can two people play on the same computer?

Yes. An offline mode lets two players share one keyboard, or lets you play alone against the Naïf bot, with no server connection at all. The physics there is exactly the same as online.

Why does my opponent sometimes move in jerks?

The match is simulated on the server; your browser predicts your own movement so your controls answer instantly, but your opponent reaches you over the network. An unstable connection makes their rendering stutter. It affects neither the score nor the outcome of the point: the server simulation is always authoritative, identically for both players.

Do purchases give an in-match advantage?

No, never. Everything purchasable is cosmetic: character skins, arenas, banners, icons, titles, accessories. No purchase changes physics, speed, reach or score.

Do matches against bots count towards the ranking?

No. Only ranked matches, which always pit two humans against each other, move your ELO. Friendly matches, tournament matches and career mode advance your level, quests and achievements, but not your rating.

How do I delete my account and my data?

Account deletion is available directly from the in-game Account menu. The Privacy page details what data is kept, for how long, and how to request access or erasure.

How do I report a bug or suggest an idea?

The in-game Help menu contains a feedback form that sends your message directly. It is the fastest way to report a reproducible bug, along with what you were doing when it happened.
